House sales for both new and used homes are down tremendously. In most areas, sales are not expected to rebound for up to 12 months (longer in California). Buyers are in the driver’s seat and will most likely walk away if they don’t get the deal they are looking for. Mortgage lending has dried up due to the banking credit crisis.

The best thing you could do is hook on with a top builder, one known for quality and workmanship – these houses will be somewhat easier to sell. It all still boils down to location so if you are in an industrial part of the country, don’t expect much traffic as folks with jobs are nervous and folks without jobs are probably just scraping by.

This is nowadays with the real estate market in the state that it is makes it really tough. If i remember correctly New home agents work off of commission similar to regular real estate agents. I would recommend learning the ins and outs of any loan programs you offer or are affiliated with so you can best assist your potential buyer. Along with any and all Home Warranty programs you offer. Remember though you don’t just sell houses you sell homes.
Let the potential buyers know that you understand their fears in today’s market and that you will do your best to help them achieve their goal in becoming home owners for the first time or yet again.
