They are all pretty good areas and I used to live in Marietta.I liked it there very much it was close enough to work in Atlanta and still far enough away from the big city hustle and bustle at the same time.

Overall, I would say Alpharetta is the best.

I’ve lived in Marietta, its close to atlanta and has a lot of stuff, but its not as nice as Roswell and Alpharetta. I believe the crime rate is higher there too.

Alpharetta is ok, but I have to admit I fell in love with Roswell ever since I started treking that way. Its nice, has different kinds of entertainment, all different kinds of foods. It still has a welcoming atmosphere while still being a comparision to Dunwoody and Alpharetta. And its still not far to the city and to other cities outside of atlanta.

    Dunwoody – nice and pricey
Roswell – nice, pricey, outdoor activities, and stupid local ordinances
Marietta – nice and less expensive
Alpharetta – nice cookie cutter neighborhoods and pricey, too far from city

I’d vote for Alpharetta personally… You may want to check out the two newly incorporated areas “Johns Creek” and “Milton” as well.

They are all fairly nice affluent areas. Particularly Alpharetta and Dunwoody. Alpharetta and Roswell are right near each other, so I would look in that area. I would personally look in Alpharetta.
