Is It True What They Say About The Bush’s New Neighborhood?

by Wade Morris Dunwoody Realtor on February 19th, 2012

I read that until just recently that the neighborhood in Dallas that the Bush’s moved into had a covenant that forbid the sale of homes to ANY minority for ANY reason, and I KNOW that Harriet Miers lives in the same neighborhood–SHOULD THIS BE A CAUSE OF CONCERN to those who are presently trying to redefine his legacy?

Its not true, that would be illegal. However I am sure they have found ways around it. From what I understand you need at least 5 million to even get into that burb, that in and of itself eliminates a lot of minorities.

Those covenants are just there from a long time ago and are unenforcable. They don’t always bother to formally remove them because they’re like the laws that say you can’t ride your horse down the street carrying a lantern on Sunday.

I have seen or heard nothing about this but… Bush is a Republican, so of course it must be true. Right?

    Who are “They…?”

And how about the racist minister of President Obama’s church who lives in an exclusive gated neighborhood that does the same thing and won’t allow members of his OWN Congregation reside there?

Wow, you sure are obsessed with the Bush family this morning. This is your third question about them and the third question you show a fake concern.

No the neighborhood did not have a covenant to forbid home to any minority. It’s a nice neighborhood and the people there are very friendly. They are handling the extra security and tourists very well.

Let’s see if you can find a REAL issue to discuss.

get a life. bush has his house and is trying to live it out peacefully. why can;t you all just go about your daily dose of thrills from your leader and be happy that he;s changing the country to what you want. a communistic country. go back to sleep little sheep. your master is at work making plans of this action.

If its true that the homes in that neighborhood are going for a minimum of 5 million dollars that would not only eliminate a lot of minorities but also a whole lot of non-minorities as well…

It is not true, and Bush does not live in a neighborhood of Dallas. In fact, the farm they live on is not in any neighborhood. Either way, it is illegal to have a covenant forbidding the sale of homes to any minority. Such covenants have been illegal for more than four decades.
