So Much Homes For Sale…Why?
I just moved to a medium-high class neighborhood last May 2006. Almost all of the homes were bought out within 6 months. Now, I am seeing lots of homes in my neighborhood that has a sale sign.
I don’t know how many homes exactly are in my neighborhood, but I’m guessing around 30. And, about 8 or 10 of those now are selling their homes…
Just curious, why? I do know that being a first time home owner, like most of those others here, it’s tough paying the high bill cost. But I saved up, just in case the bills increases.
So I’m assuming they’re selling their homes, because they couldn’t afford the monthly payment, or they’re young, and should have never bought a home that expensive?
What is the state of home sales right now? How about in Washington State, where I live?
Thanks…

I don’t live in Washington State, either, but you hit on a couple of possible reasons why you’re seeing a rash of For Sale signs.
Maybe these young families have to move due to job relocation. Maybe they decided to move closer to family. Maybe they decided to move away from family. Maybe they have the itch to move frequently, and they’re not currently bound to the current economic conditions. I know of those reasons just in my own community.
Just consider yourself blessed that you have the means to ride out this storm right now, and hope your own situation doesn’t change to the point that you might end up having to put a For Sale sign on your lawn anytime soon.
